Written by Steve Cifaldi in memory of William (Billy) Messina

Many of us will remember Billy as a great dancer; he always had a warm smile and wonderful sense of humor. He left school for many months because he lost an eye in an accident while playing baseball so our class "adopted" him during our junior year.

From our Yearbook: Voted "Best Dancer" class of 1965....continental...witty...sociable...sharpster...unique dancer...widely read

Billy graduated from Boston University in 1969 with a degree in Journalism. He then stayed in the Boston area and worked as a copywriter and proofreader for the Boston Evening Star. He later shared a house with Danny McFadden and two other guys in Brighton, MA. He left the newspaper business and went into retail, speciaizing in western style clothing for men. Billy passed away at the age of 42 after a long illness.
