Written by Pat Williams Thorsen in memory of Peter M. Williams

Peter graduated from Carroll College in Wisconsin with a major in Chemistry. He taught in a private high school in New York City for two years and then decided that he wanted to establish his own business. He had developed an interest and talent in carpentry and began his own business remodeling homes on the north shore of Long Island. After living in New York City and Long Island for many years Peter decided he wanted to try another part of the country so he moved to Denver in the early 1990s. He developed a love of travel, spending lots of time in South America. He also became an excellent tennis player and photographer (you may remember his work in the 1965 yearbook).

In 1995 Peter was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. After a valiant fight he died in July of 1997.

This is the first I have heard of peter's life and death. I am glad he followed his dreams whereever they took him! We should all be so lucky.
